The Chinese University of Hong Kong
connections

As a University funded mainly by the Hong Kong Government since its establishment in 1963, and through the great efforts of its staff and students as well as the outstanding achievements of its alumni in the past decades, CUHK has featured tremendous developments in the past and is to-day a highly regarded institution in the world of learning.

In view of the substantial funding cut being implemented by the Government by stages in recent years, and the higher demands for academic excellence, CU would need to rely on more and more donations and other forms of sponsorship from the private sector in general to ensure that its standard of academic excellence in terms of quality teaching and research would continue to advance and excel in the years ahead.

The University has set up a CUHK Development Fund some years ago to support areas of programmes which are important and meaningful to the University's continuous development, but not already included under the Government grant items. These include physical development projects and campus activities at both the University and College levels, the provision of more scholarships and research funds, as well as programmes to promote academic links with Chinese and world-wide institutions.

Please consider making your contribution to the CUHK Development Fund and help your alma mater to advance further.
