This webinar on March 21, 2021 (Sunday) 9am (HKT) will provide a platform of dialogue between a group of retired veteran bankers and those CUHK-related individuals who are interested in pursuing a banking career in the USA. The speakers will share their decades-long professional experiences in various types of functional areas within the banking industry as well as the modus operandi of a financial institution. The agenda of this webinar is organized as follows: sharing will last for about 30 minutes and afterwards, interactive exchanges are highly encouraged.

Speakers Profiles
Mr. Eddie Lam 林家慶
BBA CUHK, Haystack Scholar Williams College, MBA UBC
36 years of banking experience with 28 years in lending and marketing in California and Texas. Started out as an executive trainee in Corporate Banking in Citibank, Hong Kong in 1982. Immigrated to USA in 1983. Retired in 2021 as Executive President, Chief Credit Officer of a Bay Area Bank in San Francisco. He had held positions in International corporate and commercial banking with various Southern California banks, including Tokai Bank, East West Bank and Preferred Bank.

Miss Ping-Ying Lee 周冰瑩
Ping-Ying earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from New Asia College, CUHK and an MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles Ping-Ying started her banking career in 1981 as a credit trainee with Bank of America. She has held various commercial lending, branch management, asset based lending, and credit administration positions with several business banks in the Southern California region until she retired in 2019. Prior to her retirement, Ping-Ying was senior vice president/credit administrator in City National Bank’s Credit Administration Department. She was responsible for evaluating and
approving new and renewed extensions of credit and managing credit quality for the bank’s commercial lending offices and specialty lending units.

Mr. King Tsao 曹景渡
A retired veteran banker with experiences in commercial, corporate and investment banking (CIB) in Asia and the US; and functional specialization in regional credit and risk management.
