Setting Proxy Servers - Internet Explorer

Internet Explorer 4.0

To set proxy under for Internet Explorer 4.0:

1. Select Internet Options... under the View menu.
2. Select the Connection tab.
3. Chick the check box of Access the Internet using a proxy server and uncleck Bypass proxy server for local (Intranet) addresses.
4. Press the Advanced... button.

5. In Proxy Settings dialog, enter proxy.alumni.cuhk.edu.hk and port 8080 as shown below.
6. Click the check box Use the same proxy server for all protocols.

Then press OK to accept the settings.

Now you have complete setting the proxy servers.

Internet Explorer 3.0

To set proxy under for Internet Explorer 3.0:

1. Select Options... under the View menu.
2. Select the Connection tab.
3. Chick the check box of Connect through a proxy server.
4. Press the Settings... button.

5. In Proxy Settings dialog, enter proxy.alumni.cuhk.edu.hk and port 8080 as shown below.
6. Click the check box Use the same proxy server for all protocols.

Then press OK to accept the settings.

Now you have complete setting the proxy servers. Back to main page.
