Individuals who have successfully completed a bachelor’s degree or higher at CUHK, and whose graduation has been formally approved by the University Senate, are recognized as CUHK Alumni.
At present, the Alumni Affairs Office does not issue an alumni card. Alumni may apply for a “CUHK Alumni Library Card” or a “CUHK Alumni Credit Card” as proof of their alumni status. Alumni holding a CUHK Alumni Credit Card may enjoy designated privileges when using campus facilities, including up to 4 hours of complimentary parking. For details and application, please visit the CU Alumni Credit Card webpage.
As CU alumni, you can enjoy a range of benefits and services, such as libraries, swimming pool, selected sports facilities, etc. Please visit the Services & Benefits webpage for details. Holders of the CU Alumni Credit Card can enjoy special discounts plus up to 4 hours of free parking when using the facilities.
All CUHK alumni are eligible to apply for the “Alumni Library Card” (Borrower’s Card or Reader’s Card), which allows access to any library of the University Library System. CUHK alumni may also apply for the “Digital Library Service for Alumni”. For application fee, procedures, and details, please visit the Library webpage.
With the approval of the Administrative and Planning Committee (AAPC), and in line with the practices of other local universities, the University has implemented new procedures to improve the efficiency of campus access control measures with effect from 30 August 2021. Holders of CU Links and CUHK Library Cards are required to validate their smartcards at the card reading devices upon entry into campus.
CUHK Alumni who are holders of “CU Alumni Credit Card” could continue to present their valid CUHK Alumni Credit Cards at campus entry points in order to gain entry into campus. Where necessary, credit card holders might be requested to present their HKIDs for verification of identity. All other visitors who cannot provide the CUHK-related documents above are required to register their HKIDs, etc, at campus entry points in order to gain entry into campus. The University reserves the right to refuse any visitors to the campus if circumstances require.
